IMG_1962[1]The last cooking experiment inspired by our trip was baklava, that amazing gooey layered Greek dessert — I could never find the same recipe anyplace I looked. This recipe had me put half the phyllo on the bottom and half on the top. Another recipe had me putting upwards of ten layers of phyllo with a bit of the walnut filling in between each. It’s probably very easy to make and fast if you know what you are doing, but it’s hard to mess it up and it’s SO worth the effort!
