Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-Second Story

These are pictures I took in Corfu last fall, along the waterfront as we walked from the shopping area back to the cruise terminal. Not many people have seen them, because they are not the beautiful, fun vacation photos everyone wants to see. Corfu is beautiful, but it’s in dire financial straits, as is all of Greece. One waiter said that fifty percent of Greeks were out of work. And it’s easy to see when you walk out of the tourist areas and into the city itself. Lots to think about, and you do what you can to make a difference in the world, but it never seems like enough. A split second  can change your life forever.
