About Me

I’m a fifty-something wife and mom of three, part-time librarian and full-time procrastinator. I blog to clear my head and remind myself of what really matters in life. Sometimes, when you write things down, they make much more sense than when you endlessly run them around in your head.

In this blog you’ll meet my children, my husband, my co-workers, my friends and all my extended family, each with their own endearments and, umm, non-endearments. MARSOC stands for Marine Special Operations Command. My son is training to be a Special Forces Marine, which he has wanted for a very long time, and I am very proud of him.

Thanks for wondering about me. I am here in this wonderful WordPress community for the long haul, and I hope to meet a lot of you as I figure out how this all works.

  1. Too many good books, too little time…I think the same can be said of blogs, too. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I loved your “Above” entry to the WPC and your blog so far. You got yourself another follower πŸ™‚
    Warm regards,

  2. I think you have discovered the next new TV show! We have so many “CSI’s” and the like, why not “MARSOC” ?? Seems you are quite busy and that’s great! Thanks for visiting my place. Good luck to you and please visit again soon.

    Jeff,
    Redo…

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’m enjoying discovering your blog, and catching up on some of your posts. My son is no longer active duty, but proud mom of a Marine Sgt. here!

    • Thank you, Su, I’m glad you stopped by! Blogging is like keeping a diary that I never have to worry that someone will find when I’m gone. πŸ™‚

      • πŸ™‚ until you log in one day and discover half your family is following you – and sharing it with the other half!

      • True: I must be descended from Sherlock Holmes or something cos even in cyber-space there is nowhere to hide. Or maybe I just need a new, better disguised blog. Then I’d never get any work done πŸ™‚
